The 31 Days of Halloween

Can I tell you just how much I LOVE Halloween?  I mean seriously...I have a crazy kinda love for this holiday.  CRAZY I tell ya!  I mean all the orange and the purple and the black...the pumpkins and bats..the CANDY CORN!  OHH EM GEE!  Can I just say right now that I am addicted to the stuff.  Have you tried it with some dark chocolate chips?  If not, you need to. Like right now.  I prefer the Brachs Candy Corn and Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate mix myself but you do don't have to like what I do.  Now, stop what you are doing and go grab a handful of candy corn and a handful of dark chocolate chips and shove them in your mouth.   Don't be all petite and lady like about it.  Get a whole mouthful and chow down!  YUM-MERS! 

Knowing how much I LOVE Halloween, I decided to blog about it.  So unique huh?  To blog about something you love.  HA!  I know, I know but I gotta start some where so I figured why not here :)  So, thru out the month of October I will be picking a new area/project to blog about that is Halloween related.  Today I am rocking the Halloween Mantel. 



Isn't she beautiful and sleek sporting her long white candle sticks on the right with orange glittered pumpkins and eye-balled (is that a word) black pumpkin? 

On the left the white vase is filled with an assortment of bat and pumpkin pics to balance her out.  Notice how I accentuated the waist of a few pumpkins with ribbon to tie all the colors together?  Super easy to do.  I didn't even have to bust out the hot glue for this trick.  I just cut some ribbon and secured it in the back with a thumb tack.  Easy peasy!  Isn't she just lovely! 



Tomorrow I will show you how I made my glittered pumpkins.  That's right I made them all by myself because I'm awesome like that!  See you tomorrow!

    I love your mantel. The huge clock is gorgeous. I will have to try your candy corn/chocolate mixture. It sounds yummy!
